The Returning Officer for Northumberland has published the Notice of Election of Parish Councillors. If any election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 6 May 2021. See here full details and a copy of the election notice.

Since deterioration of the Public Right of Way, which runs over land owned by Wylam Parish Council, became apparent in Spring 2012 and to date, Wylam Parish Council has engaged with Northumberland County Council as the authority statutorily responsible for the Public Right of Way, to seek a solution to the problem of land slippage.

The Electoral Services Department of Northumberland County Council has confirmed that the regulation 10 requests from electors have not been fulfilled and that Wylam Parish Council can now fill the casual vacancies by co-option.

Wylam Parish Council has welcomed the news that on 20th October 2020 Northumberland County Council made a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) relating to the consumption of alcohol.  It covers a number of areas including the whole of the Wylam Parish Council area.
