A Statement by Wylam Parish Council concerning land slippage affecting an area of riverside land south of Wylam Nurseries and east of Stephenson Terrace

At its meeting on 12th June 2021 the Parish Council received a petition containing 438 signatures asking that the Parish Council ‘Stabilise the riverbank threatening two houses and the existence of Tom and Joe’s Nursery’.  Reference was also made to the online petition to Northumberland County Council (NCC) on the same issue, with 441 signatures.

Pursuant to section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that Jacqueline Henderson formerly a Member of the above named Parish Council, has ceased to be a Member of the Parish Council, and that a vacancy now exists in the office of Councillor for the Parish.
