WYLAM PARISH COUNCIL
ANNUAL SURVEY OF TREES ON PARISH COUNCIL LAND
July – August 2020
EXTRACT
14 Ovingham Burial Ground
No significant change from previous year. Trees including large veteran lime, sycamore and beech are in reasonable condition and recently cleared of basal growth which allowed inspection. Recent gales have damaged a few minor branches.
There is a large and growing soil and waste / compost heap still sited under veteran beech and sycamore on the north boundary. This would be best sited away from the rooting zone of trees, though has done no obvious harm as yet. Some conifers, a cherry, whitebeam and rowan showing drought stress. Some recently planted trees should have the post and guard removed, though this will risk mower / strimmer damage.
Recommendations for potential hazards - none
